The Conference Committee is excited to unveil Dr. Danielle Lee as our Keynote Speaker for the 2023 LICSPA Annual Conference on November 9, 2023! Through her work, Dr. Lee brings Transformative Experiences to our region through collaboration and experiences focused on social justice, equity, and inclusion.

 
 

Dr. Danielle Lee

Assistant Professor, English | Assocaite Dean, School of Arts and Sciences Academic Institutes & Programs | Director, Social and Environmental Justice Institute at SUNY Old Westbury

Dr. Danielle Lee is currently the Associate Dean, School of Arts and Sciences Academic Institutes & Programs, as well as an Assistant Professor of English at SUNY Old Westbury, where she also earned her Bachelors. After completing her bachelors in English with a specialty in Multicultural and British Literature at OW, Danielle went on to pursue her Master’s and Ph.D. in English at St. John’s University. Her research and teaching interests focus Premodern Critical Race Studies, Shakespeare, and the Transatlantic Slave Trade. In addition to the work, she is doing to advance the Social and Environmental Justice Institute, she is also EOP summer faculty, and teaches creative writing for junior high school students for Old Westbury's STEP program.
