Personal Background
Dr. Edouard hails from Queens, New York, and is married to Dr. Livia Gama Fagundes-Edouard, a native of Rondonópolis, Brazil and Queens, New York. Together, they have five daughters: Bianca, Daniella, Alyssa, Karisma, and Kalyse.

Before joining SUNY Old Westbury, Dr. Edouard spent 15 years at Binghamton University in several leadership positions, including Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students.

Dr. Edouard’s earlier experience includes leadership roles in Educational Opportunity Programs (EOP) at Binghamton University and Stony Brook University, where he strengthened student engagement, belonging, and success.
He is formally trained in crisis intervention and management, certified in ICS 300 (Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents) and ICS 400 (Advanced Incident Command Systems) under the National Incident Management System (NIMS).
