Topic: I’m a J.E.D.I. Warrior and I Have Pictures to Prove It!

I am a J.E.D.I. (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) Warrior, and I am also a professional photographer. The Multicultural Center at Manhattan College boasts of a variety of programs that exist at the confluence of those identities. This session looks at the way we visually represent the ideals of J.E.D.I. Come learn about our Alternative Narrative Art Show, our Halo program, and our Wings of Inclusion.

Mr. Hayden Greene serves as the Director of Multicultural Affairs and Student Development at Manhattan College and oversees the Multicultural Center. He is working to develop inclusion workshops involving students, faculty, and administrators. Greene has held student life leadership positions at Medgar Evers College, Barnard College of Columbia University and Montclair State University during his career. Hayden Greene has also presented all over the world, seeking to broaden people’s understanding of leadership styles, inclusivity, diversity, and justice. In addition, Hayden Greene is a prize winning, fine art photographer with an eye for the ironic and for color. He has been a working professional since 2008 and strives to capture the unnoticed beauty that we walk by every day. His work includes beautiful landscapes and cityscapes, expressive portraiture, and dynamic concert and event photography. An avid photographer, Greene earned his Bachelor’s degree at Baruch College and his Master’s degree at Montclair State University.
